About inboxlistening
Why another online monitoring tool? There's Google Alerts to get news and blog mentions by email. And there's Netvibes, Pageflakes or Addictomatic to create a dashboard around an event or brand you want to track online.
Inboxlistening combines the two approaches, adding Twitter search and a bit more granularity of keywords, so you can keep track easily and quickly across news, blogs and Twitter. The aim is that inboxlistening gets you from identifying the need to having a dashboard + daily email update set up in 10 seconds.
With inboxlistening, you set up a dashboard specifying up to five keywords you want to track through Google News UK, Google Blog Search UK and Twitter search, and an email address you'd like the report sent to. At the moment, it's limited to only one subscription per email address, but that might change in future.
You can also get a short URL to the public dashboard via bit.ly (see the link in the top-right corner), to share your dashboard with others easily and in tweetable form.
Er, for now, that's about it. It's in very early beta, so bear in mind that lots will be broken, and whole thing could fall over at any moment. Please send your ideas, bug reports and experiences to: feedback at inboxlistening dot com.
